Judges are looking for projects that show innovative and impactful education and training programmes for data analysts and scientists or projects that show programmes to increase data literacy across their organisations. Examples may include the implementation of a new programme or the improvement of an existing programme to increase its impact.
3) Data Collaboration of the year
The judges are looking for projects that have enabled increased intelligence and better outcomes thanks to internal collaboration between clinical, operational and data teams.
4) Implementing interoperability across organisations
The judges are looking for projects that have successfully integrated the technology and healthcare systems of several health or care organisations so as to simplify the communication, delivery and digitalisation of clinical information.
5) Evidence-based service redesign
Judges are looking for projects that have demonstrated an efficient service redesign using data and analytics. The benefits may include better patient care and satisfaction, workforce time optimisation, increased efficiency, lower costs etc.
6) Maximising operational resources
Judges are looking for projects that have used data-driven processes to set up a clear overview of capacity and demand at a trust and system level for a more efficient allocation of resources.
7) Using AI and automation to improve health and care delivery
The judges are looking for projects that have implemented AI and automation tools in a practical way to deliver better outcomes for the organisation. Examples may include improving A&E demand control, effective discharge, reducing ambulance waits or emergency handover delays, coping with high bed occupancy rates etc.
8) Population health outcomes and reducing health inequalities
The judges are looking for projects that are optimising the use of data and analytics to help reduce health inequalities at a local level. Examples may be led at a System, place, or neighbourhood level, and demonstrate either existing outcomes or a clear actionable strategy for interventions to reach the desired outcomes.
